BFP: South Burlington Sees City Council Contests

SOUTH BURLINGTON – The race for City Council heated up in January when James “Jimmy” Marc Leas peppered incumbent Councilor Pat Nowak with a series of questions about home buyouts and her position on the Burlington International Airport Commission. Leas’ challenge of Nowak went beyond the council meeting. He is vying for Nowak’s two-year council seat. He is part of the Stop the F-35 group and was endorsed last week by Progressive Lt. Gov. David Zuckerman.
