I know that Jimmy Leas will approach city governance with trust and good will
I was impressed with what he said at Wednesday night’s debate regarding how he would keep the national political rancor from occurring in South Burlington city governance.
Jimmy said he would “assume good intentions” from his fellow councilors, saying that he would trust that they were coming from a well-intentioned place, and have only the good of the city at heart. He said disagreements on issues are to be expected and even encouraged, as that we often learn more from those who hold views different from our own. He said he would approach any discussion with an open mind and would be willing to change his mind if presented with new information.
He talked about trusting each other. What a refreshing positive approach! This is the kind of representative we want and need on our city council.
